             Neil Taylor

  Neil Taylor is a former professioinal baseball umpire who moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1993. He has fished Florida waters since 1975 and has concentrated on inshore fishing since moving here. Neil has exclusively fished in kayaks since 1998.  Neil fishes all of Tampa Bay, Clearwater, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, and up Florida's Gulf coast using light to medium spinning tackle. Trips cover the entire range of species in the Gulf and inshore waters and charters typically specialize in snook, redfish, speckled trout, flounder, sheepshead, mackeral, sharks, and black drum.  Neil Taylor is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in finance and accounting. Neil is an active supporter of Tampa Bay Watch and also a regular guest on Captain Mel Berman's radio show and featured speaking events. He is a speaker for kayak fishing schools at Bill Jackson's shop for adventure, the St. Petersburg Times fishing school seminar series, seminar speaker for Largo Boater's World, Clearwater Boater's World, St. Petersburg West marine, and correspondant for the St. Petersburg Times "Captain's corner" articles.
